About the role:

The Project Lead will lead and facilitate raw material related changes in support of NPD (new product development)-driven projects, or change control process (deviations and permanent changes) in support of consistent supply of goods. 

This role will build relationships with cross functional teams and lead and drive change within the team with a sense of urgency for purpose of continuous improvement (addressing chronic issues) as well as either timely support of NPD projects, or material approval for immediate impact on production line.

 

In this role you will:

  • Develop a thorough understanding and build relationship with the cross functional team-Quality, Technical Operations, Global Regulatory Affairs and Transportation requirements to approve materials change control for temporary (TDA) as well as permanent changes (ECR)
  • Procure relevant documents from suppliers to meet Herbalife requirements. Engage and facilitate discussions for resolving any raw materials specifications and documentation issues with suppliers and Herbalife cross functional team
  • Facilitate technical communications between Herbalife team members and suppliers as necessary
  • Lead, manage and report on assigned change project ensuring project is in support of related manufacturing requirements and sourcing strategy
  • In line with corporate requirements, determine clear, comprehensive, logical presentation of change request details, aimed at greatest reader comprehension.  Write and edit technical information accordingly
  • Facilitate meeting with subject matter experts in order to ensure specific change request topics are appropriately addressed, discussed, and sufficient information is gathered
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
  • Revise, edit, or update existing “temporary” change requests as necessary, while more permanent change requests are still in-process

Our requirements:

  • 5 years’ experience in a regulated environment (such as food industry or other GMP or similar)
  • 3+ years of project management experience 
  • Bachelor degree in science related field and/or advanced business/logistics degree as an asset
  • Project Management certification (PMP or PM Certification)as an asset
  • Experience in a highly collaborative environment and works well with others, including internal and external stakeholders to deliver results and keeps others informed to avoid unnecessary surprise
  • Ability to compose technical justification documents for food and nutraceuticals industry
  • Ability to employ structured methodologies and lead cross functional teams
  • Process oriented, Strong organizational skills and attention to details
  • Excellent in Office Excel and standard Office tools
  • Ability to work cross functionally to obtain approvals from various groups, including Tech Ops, GRA, Sensory, Transportation, Quality Control and Quality Assurance and to ensure a timely release of TDAs
  • Sense of urgency and ability to juggle multiple projects, achieves timely and desired results by effectively and efficiently prioritizing tasks and projects
  • Team player and high ethical standards
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment and manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Excellent interpersonal and clear communication skills
  • Strong problem resolution skills 
  • Written and verbal communication with project team and various levels of the organization
