Overview

THE ROLE

As the inventory manager for Herbalife in Ghana, you’ll be orchestrating the flow of goods across three dynamic locations: Accra, Kumasi, and the Agility bulk warehouse. Your mission? Ensuring seamless operations, adhering to Herbalife’s standard procedures, and maintaining compliance. Plus, buckle up for exciting inventory projects led by the EMEA Inventory Team! 

Qualifications

HOW YOU WOULD CONTRIBUTE: 

  • Monitoring inventory levels and replenishing stocks as needed for all locations working hand in hand with the bulk warehouse representative always.
  • Coordinating weekly cycle counts at all locations ensuring all prerequisites are met and polices adhered to during cycle count and performing stock reconciliation after cycle counts at all locations.
  • Analyze and reconcile all variances reported from physical inventory, random audits and others reported from daily operations in a timely manner in the ERP (Oracle). 
  • Efficiently communicate to all related departments all inventory related issues, concerns, and updates to ensure feedback and/or instructions are received in a timely manner and implemented accordingly.
  • Supervise daily orders receiving activities of distributors at the sales center, pick line replenishment, and monitor warehouse persons to ensure accurate recording of inventory movement and completion of daily assignments.
  • Administer company inventory policies and maintain departmental conformance to policies while maintaining inventory records, including item inventory, bin locations, quantity at each level, and expiration dates.
  • Ensure 100% of all inventories are counted quarterly.
  • Review inventory for all locations, and ensure all inventory have appropriate status (expired products, negative stock, unreserved inventory) per policy.
  • Analyzing and reviewing supply chain data from OBIEE to identify and resolve issues.
  • Review order status, and ensure no orders are older than 10 working days.
  • Monitor outstanding NTS and ensure all orders are shipped and confirmed/cleared from system promptly.
  • Inform logistics manager about all stock situations/issues for necessary actions to be taken when needed.
  • Prepare disposal approval form for approval at least every quarter.
  • Main contact for courier related queries and review invoices from courier to ensure billings are accurate. 
  • Monitor Herbalife Contact Management (HCM) application for complaints and work with relevant stakeholder to ensure issues are resolved and generate monthly reports of HCM complaints related to shipping.
  • Assist with KPI report preparations and also required to present during a sub-regional monthly meeting calls
  • Assist Facilities Maintenance representative to ensure H&S compliance requirements are met
  • Other duties and responsibilities as may be required to ensure smooth operations.

WHAT’S SPECIAL ABOUT THE TEAM: 

  • Net Accuracy Rate of at least 99.7% on cycle count.
  • Ensure 100% of adjustments are always reconciled and explained.
  • Ensure 100% country scan score monthly – orders not older than 10 days, SKUs have correct status.
  • Ensure 100% product availability at all sales centres for SKUs available locally.
  • 100% of inventory counted quarterly.
  • Ensure disposal approval form is prepared quarterly with required analysis.
  • Prepare and circulate expiry reports weekly, obsolete and aging stock report monthly.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • 2 warehouse operatives

Experience

  • Minimum of 4years experience in inventory control
  • At least 2 years’ experience as a team leader and a good team player 
  • Basic knowledge of project management 
  • Ability to prioritize job tasks in order of changing priority and in a deadline driven, fast paced work environment.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office applications, especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint 

Education: 

  • Minimum HND in Purchases and Supply, Warehouse Management, Logistics or any business-related discipline
