Overview

POSITION SUMMARY STATEMENT:

The Document Sourcing Specialist in Quality Assurance will be responsible for supporting the sourcing of documents from suppliers and their analysis. This position will support the management of comprehensive documents through analysis, research and report writing. In addition, this role will maintain database information and execute tasks and projects in an efficient and timely manner.

DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

  • Initiate and execute document collection and analysis by utilizing the Ingredient Document Checklist (IDCI/ IDCO) in Agile.
  • Design, manage and execute document management projects for Inner and Outer Nutrition raw materials.
  • Lead design and execution of projects in an efficient and timely manner; achieve timeline and desired results by effectively and efficiently prioritizing tasks and projects.
  • Maintain sourcing database(s) including vendor list to ensure reporting is accurate; review and analyze reporting
  • Collaborate with Global Strategic Sourcing (GSS) and Document Control Scientists to resolve identified issues
  • Contact raw material suppliers or contract manufacturers to gather raw material documents
  • Management of LIMS for assigned tasks and responsibilities
  • Expeditiously resolve the needs of the customer and support supplier relationships.
  • Ability to influence other departments to reach mutual agreements.
  • Management of Raw Material samples for analysis
  • Maintain raw material project lists to ensure reporting is accurate
  • Support process improvement initiatives.
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

Skills:

  • Effectively communicates ideas in written and verbal communication, demonstrates an organized thought process when communicating.
  • Effectively draws conclusions and can solve challenging problems.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Experience in dealing with raw material vendors and contract manufacturers.
  • Advanced computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ability to build relationships with internal and external customers and promote a good working environment.
  • Sense of urgency and ability to juggle multiple projects, achieves timely and desired results by effectively and efficiently prioritizing tasks and projects.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrates openness to change and new ways to do things.
  • Team player with ability to work with associates from other regions.
  • Awareness of how business strategies and tactics work in the marketplace.
  • Utilizes good listening skills one-on-one and in groups.
  • Expresses personal point of view in a constructive and direct manner.

Experience:

Required

  • 5 years of Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, R&D, Sourcing experience.

Education:

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Scientific field
