Overview

POSITION SUMMARY STATEMENT:

General

As a GBS Transformation Manager you will play a key role in steering the strategic direction and operational transformation of our organization. Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, providing tailored solutions to navigate complex challenges in today's business landscape. This role also involves project management and overseeing a team of project management analysts.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

1. Strategize and Plan:

  • Conduct exhaustive feasibility studies to shape a compelling value proposition for Global Business Services (GBS), aligning with organizational goals.
  • Identify and evaluate transformation opportunities in current work processes, employing a strategic blend of process redesign, technology, and optimal location strategies.
  • Develop comprehensive transformative strategies and roadmaps, placing a significant emphasis on Operating Model Transformations, to drive operational efficiencies.

2. Drive Strategic Initiatives:

  • Lead, orchestrate, and ensure the successful delivery of key strategic GBS projects, emphasizing quality outcomes and providing insightful recommendations.
  • Conduct thorough workforce impact assessments, addressing short-term adjustments and proactively managing long-term implications.
  • Spearhead strategies to enhance GBS operational capacity through innovative digital solutions and automation, ensuring a continuous cycle of improvement.
  • Execute change management activities seamlessly, instilling a culture of adoption and minimizing disruptions.
  • Cultivate an environment dedicated to customer service excellence, and fostering collaborative relationships with key stakeholders.

3. Transition and Stabilize:

  • Collaborate with the transition office to meticulously oversee the training and knowledge transfer process, ensuring a seamless transition.
  • Guarantee a smooth handover and efficient ramp-up of activities within GBS, facilitating a swift integration into the organizational framework.
  • Provide robust post Go-Live support, addressing any unforeseen challenges and ensuring sustained operational success.

4. Project Management:

  • Cultivate and manage strong relationships and deliverables with diverse teams across multiple functions and global locations, ensuring the realization of program objectives.
  • Provide effective leadership to a team of project management analysts, offering guidance, mentorship, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Implement and oversee robust governance mechanisms for project oversight, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality benchmarks.

5. External Benchmarking:

  • Benchmark performance against external providers, identifying opportunities and analyzing trends.
  • Translate research findings into compelling narratives, linking digital and strategic elements to explore expansion possibilities for GBS.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Manage a team of analysts 

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Experience:

  • Significant expertise in strategy development, operational transformation, and GBS/BPO.
    • Proven experience in finance transformation, business diagnostics, business case analysis, planning, budgeting, forecasting, performance improvement, outsourcing/offshoring strategy, and SLA design.
    • Familiarity with cutting-edge technologies and best practices in the market.
  • Project Management:
    • Demonstrated experience in project management, overseeing complex initiatives from inception to completion.
    • Ability to manage and lead a team of project management analysts.
  • Collaboration: Ability to collaborate across borders and with cross-functional teams effectively.
  • Adaptability: Thrive in a dynamic environment with evolving challenges.
  • Communications:
    • Collaborate with key stakeholders and sponsors for successful GBS hub setup.
    • Provide effective communication within the project management team and broader organizational context.

 

Key Competencies:

  • Strategic Thinking: Demonstrate a strategic mindset, developing comprehensive plans for GBS transformation.

  • Leadership: Exhibit leadership in leading a Center of Excellence and managing project teams efficiently.

 

Education and Certifications

  • 7-10  years of relevant working experience 
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Finance, or related discipline). MBA a plus.
  • Expertise in Business Excellence, Solution Design & Implementation.

Preferably possessing a background with a Big 4 firm, strategic consulting in the GCC/GBS environment.
