About the role:

The main focus of the Senior Country Sales Manager is to drive VP Sales for the Netherlands. The goal is to build a long term sustainable growth with the development of  the right strategy in collaboration with distributor leaders. With his/her Team he/she will have to create a platform for distributors and DMO’s (daily method of operation)to growth, with a strategic vision of events, promotions, metrics analyze. The Senior Country Sales Manager is also in charge of Sales event budget. To execute this strategy he/she leads the back office team (Events, promotion, communication) and staff on the field to support our members.

Overall responsibility for taking the necessary actions to achieve sales goals and profitability targets for Netherlands. On daily basis this role is to support the Country Sales Director and Regional VP in agreeing sales and cost targets in annual budget cycle and during ongoing monthly re-forecasting exercises. Additionally, Sr Sales Country Manager manages marketing fund and budget to meet OI. This position will act as a true ambassador of Herbalife and represent the Active Lifestyle message of the company.

 

 

In this role you will: 

  • Work closely with the local leadership to develop plans and maintain a sustainable growth through healthy business practices while encouraging innovative ways of working
  • Manage relationships with top leaders – Exec Committee, S&P, President’s team and TAB team. Carry on a constant open and honest communication and collaboration among members
  • Work on day-to-day and long term planning on how to create new leadership by working closely at sub regional level and TAB level
  • Know and understand the metrics, successful members and their practices will ensure that the market duplicates sustainable and duplicable models 
  • Coordinate Local events with leaders to design the right format, speakers, content and communication
  • Focus on DMOs and supporting tools working with marketing: NC-MARATHON-HAL. Design a local strategy of how the company will support emerging DMO’s in the market
  • Manage the field visits and sales to gain insight into members businesses, needs, shortcomings, and within the aim of creating a sustainable growth roadmap for Netherlands
  • Create smart promotions that have objectives are tracked and deliver desired result
  • Develop a promotions, events and members training plan as part of a coordinated market strategy for growth, working in conjunction with the local leadership to achieve full buy in and support from top leaders
  • Work with Marketing team to design marketing projects that are in line with members needs – short term and long term planning and alignment
  • Ensure communication tools with members are in place to streamline channels and topics. PR, Sponsorship activation, KOL, digital marketing – maximize opportunities and members involvement
  • Make the brand cool and trendy, appealing to millennial, challenge agencies when there is a need
  • Work with Events and promotions team to organize the plan for Netherlands
  • The Senior Manager Country Sales will have to synchronize with S&P, Event Committee and Staff the organization of national events in term of content and communication
  • Ensure the Promotions calendar is developed to suit markets’ needs. Adapt promotions to the changing promotions from E&A and fill local gaps with local promotions

 

Additional responsibilities:

  • Active involvement in relevant industry bodies including direct selling associations in Netherlands representing Herbalife and protecting its interests within the organizations
  • Overseeing effective maintenance of Casa Herbalife charities within markets and ensuring they are an active part of our strategy for growth
  • Follow all documented corporate policies/procedures and execute on time
  • Be prepared to step into day to day activities to ensure achievement of objectives as necessary and to be prepared to take on additional tasks as reasonably requested

 

 

Our requirements:

  • Master or Bachelor education level (Business, Economics, Sales - Marketing studies preferred)
  • 5-10 years of experience preferably in a similar environment within FMCG.
  • Demonstrated experience in sales management 
  • Experience of marketing regulations and ethics 
  • Organising & promoting corporate events, exhibitions, conferences & seminars 
  • Strong affinity in managing budgets: prepare the budgets, demonstrate control and accountability 
  • Experience in Project Management with good analytical and strategic skills 
  • Fluent in Dutch, and in English. Any other additional language is a +
  • Strong in communication and presentation: able to converse and present to all levels of senior management and members
  • Stress resistant, result oriented, Leadership 
  • Analytical mindset and ability to translate vision into actions 
  • Embraces changes and strives for continuous improvement 
  • Excellent PC skills (Microsoft Office – Word for Windows, Excel &PowerPoint) 
  • Experience in presenting to large audiences and public speaking
  • Be able to have diplomatie to find good solutions in tough business situations
  • Be able to travel within NL and Europe and work some evenings and weekends as needed
