Position summary
This role ensures smooth packaging operations at Contract Manufacturing (CM) Sites and projects. The candidate will implement controls to ensure RFT products, build technical capabilities through training, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and quality. Close coordination with various teams is essential for achieving organizational goals.
Key responsibilities
- Develop Packaging Concepts: Collaborate with internal teams and CMs to conduct production trials and provide recommendations.
- Review Manufacturing Activities: Ensure compliance with Herbalife requirements during manufacturing and packaging activities.
- Troubleshooting Support: Assist CMs or individuals with equivalent experience with any issues that arise during manufacturing and packaging processes.
- Investigate Non-Conformances: Work closely with CMs and cross-functional teams to identify root causes and implement CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions).
- Implement Standard Processes: Collaborate strictly with packing engineers to improve line efficiencies and capabilities.
- Conduct Tests: Perform fill tests, durability, and runnability tests for new products and share detailed reports with multi-functional teams.
- Support NPD Launch: Conduct trials on production lines to support new product development and launch.
- Improve Capacity and Capability: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop machine assets and explore automation opportunities.
- Provide Technical Support: Train and educate team members on packaging equipment and troubleshooting techniques.
- Drive Continuous Improvement Projects: Lead initiatives related to packaging equipment to support continuous improvement in manufacturing.
- Ensure RFT for FG: Partner with manufacturing teams to ensure right-first-time dispatches of finished goods.
- Identify Sustainability Opportunities: Support manufacturing leadership in identifying and acting on sustainability initiatives.
- Contribute to the strategic growth of manufacturing operations and identify needs for successful implementation.
Supervisory responsibilities
- Setting up goals for the team and oneself.
- Effective delegation of tasks, ensuring team accountability.
- Monitoring employee efficiency, providing constructive feedback, mentoring, and conducting follow-ups.
Education:
- Bachelor in Packing Technology/Packaging Science/Engineering/IIPM OR Graduate- B. Tech. in Mechanical Engineering with Food industry experience.
- Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt will be an additional advantage.
Skills:

Experience:
- Minimum 7-10 years of experience in the Pharma/Nutraceutical/Food industry.
- Proven experience in project management and equipment installations.
