About the role:
As a Manager – Responsible Sourcing, you will play a critical role in developing and executing risk-based strategies to enhance the sustainability performance of Herbalife’s global supply chain. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to map compliance mandates, raise awareness of responsible sourcing practices, conduct due diligence, and support long-term planning efforts. You should have a strong command of data, as you will be instrumental in capturing, analyzing, auditing, and externalizing large amounts of supplier data related to sustainability. You should also feel comfortable navigating different functional areas and thematic topics such as procurement, risk management, environmental sustainability, and social impact. In this role, you will report within the Worldwide Operations team.
In this role, you will:
- Work with internal stakeholders across Herbalife’s ESG, Legal and Strategic Sourcing teams to identify global compliance requirements governing supply chain sustainability
- Coordinate internal trainings, workplans and other activities to stay ahead of global regulations while also advancing Herbalife’s cost-cutting, innovation and sustainability objectives
- Advise leadership and category managers on material topics impacting Herbalife’s key commodities and supplier base, including climate, deforestation, diversity and human rights.
- Support teams in the establishment of responsible sourcing targets, supplier improvement plans, and performance monitoring
- Collaborate with Herbalife’s ESG & Controllership team members to manage responsible sourcing data, tracking systems and external reporting activities
- Lead the development, implementation and continuous evolution of Herbalife’s supply chain due diligence strategy, policies, processes and documentation, including the execution of Ecovadis platform with our suppliers and partners.
- Strengthen alignment with Herbalife’s Enterprise Risk Management team on responsible sourcing risk assessments, management plans and monitoring & reporting activities
- Engage with suppliers, external consultants and technology providers as needed to ensure we drive progress against our sustainability commitments and programmatic activities.
- Work globally with teams across Asia, India, Europe, North and South America. Majority of ESG team is based out of California.
Our requirements:
- 5-7 years of purchasing, sourcing, risk management, and/or sustainability experience within a global publicly traded company
- Proven history with designing supplier due diligence programs, performing supplier assessments and/or risk management across an enterprise
- Knowledge of global regulations, standards and best practices related to climate, deforestation, human rights and ethical sourcing
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment managing multiple projects concurrently
- Comfort managing diverse functional and geographic teams around strategic priorities, planning and performance optimization
- Strong analytical, written, communication and program management skills
- Bachelor degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain Management or Sustainability.
