Overview

Position summary statement

This role emphasizes adhering to Herbalife's quality standards for manufacturing materials in India. This role is dedicated to Supplier Quality Assurance for Herbalife raw materials and packing materials.

Job responsibilities will include:

  • Supervising vendor processes at set frequencies to confirm compliance with Herbalife Quality procedure requirements.
  • Conducting periodic audits of facilities and operations related to Herbalife Raw and Packing Materials to ensure adherence to Herbalife Quality standards, Ministry of Ayush, Ayurveda product standards, and FSSC and FSSAI GMP Guidelines.
  • Regularly connecting with vendors/CM for any applicable changes in product processes that impact quality.
  • Coordinating with vendors for rejection/complaint handling, conducting Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and implementing Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
  • Supporting vendors in troubleshooting raw materials, packing materials, and process quality challenges, driving improvements to achieve defect-free supply at Herbalife WH or CM locations.
  • Conducting regular training sessions for vendor teams on updates in Quality requirements and changes in Quality procedures.
  • Compiling information for regular Management Information Systems (MIS) reports and sharing periodic updates as required.
  • Participating in cross-functional improvement projects, meetings, and conferences as per defined responsibilities.
  • Testing Raw Materials (RM), Packing Materials (PM), and participating in Out of Specification (OOS) investigations.
  • Leading continual improvement projects for Vendor Quality Assurance and control.

Organizational relationships

This position reports directly to the Manager, Supplier Quality.

Minimum qualifications

Education:

  • Graduation or Post Graduation in Food Technology, Food Science, Pharma, or other allied streams.

Skills:

  • Proven experience in Supplier/Vendor Quality Assurance.
  • Experienced or trained in implementing Quality and/or Food Safety Management systems (HACCP, ISO 9001, ISO 22000, FSSC 22000).
  • Solid understanding of basic Quality control processes such as Calibration, OOS, OOT, Sampling, and relevant test procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a relevant field.
  • Industry experience in Nutraceutical, Pharma, Food, or Ayurveda sectors.
