Junior AR/OTC Accountant

About the role
As a Junior AR/OTC Accountant, you will support revenue recording or accounting processes in the day-to-day operations for countries within Herbalife Nutrition GBS Finance Services' scope. Working closely with senior accountants, you will ensure that incoming payments are allocated accurately and promptly to minimize account discrepancies. You'll also handle activities such as sales reconciliation, processing journal entries, booking manual invoices, credit memos, and managing bad debt write-offs.
In this role, you will collaborate with counterparts and local Business and Customer Support Groups to address customer disputes and account-related issues. You'll be responsible for journal entries, A/R account reconciliations, management reporting, and reconciling the Sales Register to the General Ledger (G/L).
In this role, you will:
- Actively communicate with internal customers and business units to ensure smooth cash application processes.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures related to AR/OTC processes.
- Participate in projects, process improvements, and standardization initiatives.
- Meet defined SLAs and contribute to KPI reporting.
- Maintain adherence to SOX rules in all areas of responsibility.
- Perform daily sales reconciliations and reconcile A/R accounts.
- Prepare and process journal entries, including manual invoices, credit memos, and payments.
- Manage chargebacks, refunds, buybacks, and bad debt write-offs.
- Process DS cash contributions via HFF.
- Research and resolve payment discrepancies and proactively address unapplied cash issues.
- Complete Month-End Close activities, including reconciling the Sales Register to the G/L and reviewing REV & COS accrual reports.
- Prepare ad hoc reports and provide status updates.
- Interact with various levels of the Global Business Services Centre Kraków and stakeholders from other Herbalife entities.
- Propose improvements within your scope of responsibility.
Our Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience in an accounting field
- High education in accounting/finance or/and other related field - finished or in progress
- MS Office, Oracle (or the other ERP system) knowledge
- Experience of Excel to at least intermediate level
- Very good command of English (min. B2 level) and native Polish is a must
- Willingness to develop in related area
- High customer service skills - emails and calls handling
- Strong analytical, process improvement and conceptual mindset
- Proven ability to work under pressure
- Customer focused individual
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience with SSC or Outsourcing environment is very welcome
