Manager, Distributor Support

About the Role
As a Manager, Distributor Support, you will play a critical role in driving growth across the South African market by implementing global strategies at the local level. You will be responsible for developing impactful marketing, communication, and event strategies, while maintaining strong relationships with Distributor leaders to support business initiatives. This is a dynamic role that blends leadership, innovation, and strategic execution in a fast-paced, high-impact environment.
In this Role, You Will:
- Lead and implement integrated marketing, communications, and events strategies aligned with corporate goals.
- Build and maintain close relationships with key Distributors to understand their needs and co-develop growth plans.
- Act as a brand custodian, ensuring consistency in brand communication, product positioning, and public representation.
- Oversee local sponsorships, charitable partnerships, and PR campaigns to boost brand awareness and engagement.
- Manage event planning and distributor training programs that support business growth and distributor development.
- Supervise and develop a high-performing team including Event, Marketing, and Communications Supervisors.
- Ensure effective budget management, cost control, and alignment with strategic financial targets.
Our Requirements:
- Proven experience in sales, marketing, communications, or event management roles with minimum 5yrs leadership/management responsibility.
- Demonstrated experience working with key customers or Distributors, preferably in a direct selling , B2B, consumer goods industry or similar.
- Experience working and/or traveling internationally, with cultural sensitivity and adaptability.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to think strategically and deliver results under pressure.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (additional African languages a plus).
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with a track record of team coordination and development.
- Financial acumen and ability to manage and justify budgets effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); understanding of graphic design tools is a plus.
- Innovative, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
