About the role: 

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Supervisor to support a team of 3 accountants to ensure the timely and accurate preparation and control of all Inventory and Cost of Sales accounts for Herbalife’s Luxembourg entity.

 

In this role, you will:

  • Supervise and review a team’s work to ensure tasks are correctly executed in timely manner as per established processes and Manager’s guidance including:
    • Oversee standard cost maintenance and accuracy, including weekly Purchase Price Variances (PPV) analysis.
    • Support monthly review/reconciliation of inventories (Finished Goods, Raw Material, Goods In Transit, Work In Process), intercompany sales and purchases.
    • Conduct gross profit analysis (profit ratio, product mix, detailed COGS breakdown: PPV, kitting, scrap, freight, etc.).
    • Prepare commentary on monthly financial statements, focusing on inventory and COGS fluctuations.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally (Accounts Payables, Accounts Receivables, General Ledger, Warehouses) to ensure accurate accounting and reporting.
  • Respond to global ad hoc queries and reporting needs (Operations, Financial Planning and Analysis).
  • Be a key contributor to processes optimization and process memo updates
  • Assist Manager in implementation/testing of new projects and processes
  • Deliver training to team members

 

 

Our Requirements:

  • Previous experience as Senior Accountant with team coordination experience coupled with
  • High knowledge of Microsoft Office - particularly advanced Excel; ability to manipulate large data sets with strong command of Pivots tables and complex formulas
  • Good accounting knowledge e.g. Double-entry bookkeeping, Cost allocation, Balance Sheet, Income Statement
  • Proficient in performing variance and margin analyses, including ability to interpret fluctuations and obtain business explanations.
  • Knowledge of US GAAP and SOX / Internal Controls
  • Experienced in ERP systems (preferably Oracle) both use and implementation. 
  • High attention to details and accuracy
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate in a professional way within a multi-department team
  • Ability to meet tight reporting deadlines, demonstrates an organized and structured approach
  • Fluency in English (other languages advantageous)

Education:

  • Finance University degree and/or General Ledger accounting qualification
