About the role: 

As a Specialist in Business Systems Support team, you will play a pivotal role in modelling business processes and designing solutions to meet our organization's requirements. You will work closely with end users, functional teams, and process owners to define, design, implement, as well as develop Oracle applications, and other business-related applications within the scope of the Business Systems Support team.

 

In this role, you will:

  • Provide hands-on support and troubleshoot system issues reported.
  • Apply broad knowledge to identify and resolve core problems.
  • Gather requirements and define the scope of change with business users.
  • Demonstrate proactiveness in offering advice on process improvements, technical solutions, and innovations.
  • Verify the feasibility of business users' requests based on existing technical systems and data structures.
  • Represent business partners on projects and initiatives, advocate business priorities and compliance.
  • Support technology projects by coordinating user testing and providing status reports.
  • Identify potential risks for projects in scope, propose measures to mitigate these risks, and communicate them timely to relevant stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with business users, developers, and the management team.
  • Support other tasks and projects as requested by the line manager.

WHAT’S SPECIAL ABOUT THE TEAM:

The GBS Business Systems Support team, part of the GBS Service Management Team, is at the forefront of driving operational excellence for the systems used by the GBS organization. As the primary point of contact for GBS centers, Finance, and HR, we provide essential support for strategic systems and technology projects.

Our Requirements:

  • Over 3 years of experience in collecting and validating business requirements.
  • Over 3 years’ experience in maintenance of Oracle Finance Applications.
  • More than 3 years of experience in international projects.
  • Proven experience in working as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and individual contributor.

Essential Technical Skills/Knowledge

  • Strong functional knowledge of Oracle Finance modules (Receivables, Payables, Intercompany, Fixed Assets, Cash Management, and General Ledger) in EBS/Cloud.
  • Good understanding of financial processes (P2P, O2C, R2R).
  • Solid knowledge of the project life cycle and the roles of project participants.
  • System Troubleshooting: Ability to provide hands-on support and troubleshoot system issues reported globally.
  • Functional skills: Collecting business requirements on how and why. Conducting functional testing and supporting user testing for system enhancements.
  • Data Structures and Systems: Verifying the feasibility of business users' requests based on existing technical systems and data structures.

Additional requirements:

  • Ability to work independently and set priorities based on business needs
  • Fluency in English, both spoken and written
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams
  • Ownership and problem-solving mindset, with a focus on identifying improvement opportunities and suggesting alternative solutions
  • Experience with SharePoint Online, PowerApps, PowerAutomate, Power BI, or Oracle Fusion (nice to have)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field
