THE ROLE:
The role of Manager Technical Projects & New CM search is to Lead Technical Projects related but not limited to Capacity Expansions, Green Field, Brown field, NPD etc.in India. The scope includes Designing, Planning, The person selected for this role will be responsible from Designing scope of the project through the commercialization phase of the project. Projects managed by this role may include New Contract Manufacturer On Boarding, Capacity Expansions, Greenfield/Brownfields and supplier movements. This role will Design, Create, execute and Govern Technical Projects from end to end.
This role is Pivotal in ensuring the Technical projects are executed on time and fostering strong relationships between our organization and our valued Manufacturing Partners.
HOW YOU WOULD CONTRIBUTE:
- Drive Technical projects through all stages of execution, which may include Identifying Potential New Manufacturing Partners, Capacity creations, expansions, NPI etc
- Understand the Herbalife project management process thoroughly and execute/drive the Technical Projects. Support other Project Management team member through mentoring and as subject matter expert.
- Create and manage the project timeline by identifying project dependencies and critical path. Design and drive a Project governance mechanism to stay on track and escalate any deviations.
- Identify potential cost saving, Quality Improvement, ESG projects, submit proposals and execute after management approval. Provide insights on payback benefits.
- Work on Projects supporting Qualifications, Validations, Testing, finding Gaps, and providing Solutions.
Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and work with stakeholders to deliver Project expectations in a timely and clear fashion as project evolves. - Facilitate communication between Project team members, Key stake holders, and report the Project update to Corporate and functional head.
- Maintain constant communication with other Project Management Team Members as well as a working relationship with teams located in the region.
- Have a thorough understanding of the process and exhibit flexibility and creativity to fine tune timelines to project needs.
- Regularly publish agendas, project timelines and project notes to all stakeholders.
- Execute other Projects as assigned and Perform additional duties as assigned.
WHAT’S SPECIAL ABOUT THE TEAM:
- Technical Projects is a new position and the team is now being set up with multiple projects that are in execution, in the pipelines, or in the early stages of proposal & evaluations.
- This is a new Position set up to Lead Technical projects aligning with Business Strategic plans to build Capacities, identify New Manufacturing Partners for existing Products and new categories.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders from cross functional teams GPS, R&D, PMO, QA, Operations, Planning etc. Serves as the primary point of contact for all major Technical projects, Project related issues, escalations, and inquiries.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders of Manufacturing Partners. Act as a trusted advisor, providing guidance, best practices, and recommendations to optimize Project success and drive long-term satisfaction
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Generally this role will execute the projects and will work with cross functional peers and Business Partners.
- May have a small team not more than 2 working under him.
- Will be responsible to oversee the performance of Direct Reports to execute the Projects they are assigned to

- Strong leadership, diplomatic and motivational skills including the ability to lead up, across and down multiple business organizations
- Analytical skills and the ability to manage multiple, complex projects. Individual should have a proven track record in identifying appropriate constituents to drive decision making and action.
- Must communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing within multiple departments
- Proficiency in MS Office, including MS Project, Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Agile PPM proficiency
- Fluent in written communication & English
- Demonstrated problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills
- Analytical mindset with the ability to find process gaps and provide Technical solutions & validation to support the projects.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering exceptional Goals.
- Solid organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish relationships with Manufacturing partners and internal stakeholders
Education & Experience
- Engineering Graduate/PG preferable in Mechanical/Electrical/ Instrumentation with Project Management experience.
- 12- 15 yrs’ experience in a Project Management environment
- Preferably from Pharma/ Nutraceutical/ Food Industry
