Junior AP Payments Accountant

About the role:
As a Junior AP Payments Accountant, you will be responsible for supporting the preparation and execution of outgoing payments to suppliers and employees, ensuring they are processed accurately and on time. Your daily tasks will involve handling both automatic and manual third-party payments (excluding confidential payments), employee expense reimbursements, and intercompany payment transactions. In this role, you will work closely with the Accounts Payable team, especially colleagues responsible for invoice and document processing, to ensure the end-to-end payment process runs smoothly and meets our business objectives. Accuracy, attention to detail, and collaboration will be key to your success.
In this role you will:
- Deliver consistent quality across Herbalife businesses, functions, and regions
- Timely and accurately process due payments, including verification that accurate vendor details are recorded
- Ensure payments are executed in accordance with the published payment timetable
- Be responsible for meeting the defined SLAs and KPIs
- Actively communicate with internal customers and business units to ensure a smooth AP process
- Comply with financial policies and procedures, particularly in relation to matching purchase orders, goods received notes, and invoices, as well as the appropriate authorization of invoices
- Ensure all areas of work comply with the relevant SOX rules
- Resolve queries related to Accounts Payable payments
- Process expenses of Herbalife employees in accordance with the company’s Travel and Expense policy
- Review and perform final posting of expenses according to the established process
- Take part in calls and meetings related to the processes under your responsibility
- Perform ad hoc tasks and activities as assigned by the Accounts Payable Manager or Supervisor
Our requirements:
- University degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- Relevant professional experience in Accounts Payable or Treasury - 3- 6 months
- Previous involvement in payments processing functions is desired
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Knowledge of Oracle or other ERP systems
- Intermediate Excel skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure
- Customer-focused mindset
- Strong communication skills
- Experience in a Shared Services Center (SSC) or outsourcing environment
- Good command of English min. B2 level.
