About the role:
As a Global Distribution & Logistics Project Manager, you will lead global and regional implementations of medium-complex, cross-functional projects related to Distribution and Logistics, ensuring they have a positive impact on Member experience, P&L, and compliance. You will manage projects during the implementation phase by creating detailed implementation plans, overseeing scheduling and progress tracking, keeping stakeholders informed, and initiating escalation when necessary. In addition, this role includes product ownership responsibilities, which means you will ensure that core tools within Distribution and Logistics are functional, state-of-the-art, and aligned with business needs.
In this role, you will:
- Lead projects with global or regional scope that are medium in complexity, international, multi-departmental, and may involve external partners and high visibility
- Define project scope with stakeholders during or after the PAR process, assign project teams, communicate project status, and escalate issues when necessary
- Act as a project team member for specific areas when required, and for highly complex projects, work under the supervision of the Director, Global Distribution & Logistics Projects
- Manage Distribution projects in the implementation phase, including planning, tracking, stakeholder communication, and escalation if needed
- Serve as a business product owner for distribution-related applications (such as LSP interface) or support a product owner as a Subject Matter Expert (SME)
- As a product owner, work on improving core tools used by the Distribution team and collaborate closely with other functions to further develop tools and structures.
- Contribute to the creation of business cases prior to submitting project requests
- Bring forward new ideas and follow up on initiatives to improve logistics processes and project management tools within EMEA, focusing on productivity, quality, and efficiency
- Initiate discussions on market trends related to warehousing and distribution technology (like robotics) and translate them into opportunities
- Share best practices proactively or upon request with regional Distribution & Logistics project leads, and request input related to innovation and best practices
- Maintain and share expertise on Oracle, BI, and related interfaces to ensure effective data collection and continuous improvement
- Stimulate innovation by presenting new processes and ideas to improve Member service, productivity, and performance
Our requirements:
- 5–8 years of experience in Warehousing and Logistics
- Proven project management and communication skills
- Experience working in a multinational environment
- Hands-on experience with automated logistics systems (preferably pick-to-light), WMS (ideally Oracle WMS), and ERP software (Oracle)
- Strong customer and results-oriented approach
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage changing priorities
- Good mathematical skills
- Strong team player
- Very good command of English (minimum C1 level)
- Dutch proficiency is a strong plus
- Ability to travel a few times per year
- Higher-level education (HBO or equivalent)
