About the Role
We are looking for a Specialist to join our Regulatory Affairs team in EMEA. In this role, you will work cross‑functionally with Herbalife’s domestic and international departments, regulatory authorities, attorneys, and consultants to obtain and maintain product approvals, registrations, certifications, and self‑compliance necessary for commercialization of all product types in EU, Middle East and Ukraine markets of responsibility.
In this Role You Will
- Ensure compliance with national product regulations (health claims, labeling, formulation, registration/notification).
- Review new concept formulas for ingredient acceptability, product classification, and potential restrictions.
- Develop and revise printed components with Regulatory Support Administrators, ensuring compliance before printing.
- Prepare and submit product registrations, notifications, and certifications to authorities and third parties.
- Respond to inquiries from government authorities with technical and non‑technical data.
- Maintain self‑compliance and renew existing registrations, notifications and certifications.
- Manage changes for raw materials, formulas, printed components, and SKUs in company databases.
- Monitor regulatory developments in EMEA markets and communicate updates to supervisors and relevant teams.
- Track and manage monthly costs with attorneys, consultants, and agencies; liaise with Finance to ensure accuracy.
- Communicate effectively with regulators, consultants, manufacturers, and internal departments throughout the product lifecycle.
- Report project statuses weekly to supervisors and department heads.
- Support innovation by identifying opportunities to improve efficiencies within the role and across functions.
- Carries out all responsibilities in an honest, ethical and professional manner.
Our Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, Pharmacy, Nutrition, Food Science, or related field preferred.
- Previous industry or related work experience strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of EU food and cosmetic regulations.
- Strong oral and written communication skills in English and local language.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Fluency in a second European language preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills with ability to multitask in a flexible environment.
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced setting with evolving goals and objectives.
- Detail‑oriented and autonomous approach.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Confidence in interacting with industry and government contacts.
- Analytical problem‑solving skills with creative solutions.
