Supervisor, Direct Sourcing - Raw Materials

ROLE AT A GLANCE: 

The Supervisor -Direct Sourcing, Raw Materials will support complex raw material categories through advanced category analytics, conducting RFQs, alternate supplier development, and disciplined sourcing project execution. The role will generate actionable insights by analyzing internal spend and performance data, tracking external market and cost drivers, and maintaining accurate sourcing databases and dashboards to support negotiation preparation and decision making. The position will partner closely with Quality, R&D, Supply Chain, and Finance to enable supplier qualification, trials, corrective actions, and onboarding, while ensuring adherence to procurement governance, approval workflows, documentation standards, and audit requirements. The role will contribute to supply continuity, cost competitiveness, risk mitigation, and sustained compliance through strong data integrity and structured execution

HOW YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT:

• Initiates and executes category analysis independently and builds holistic category strategies
• Support on deep-dive category analytics (market trends, cost drivers, supplier benchmarking, SOB modeling, risk mapping, and savings pipelines) & development and periodic refresh of category strategies
• Own day-to-day operational and analytical support for 4–5 high-complexity raw material categories, including spend analysis, supplier performance tracking, alternate vendor development pipeline, and readiness of sourcing inputs for strategic decision making 
• Enable achievement of Supply continuity, Quality compliance, and Cost competitiveness by proactively tracking supply risks, supporting & coordinating Cross functional teams.
• Plan and track sourcing projects, supplier onboarding milestones, cross-functional actions, and risk mitigation plans using structured trackers; ensure disciplined follow-through, escalation visibility, and timely closure of dependencies.
• Own data integrity for sourcing databases, spend cubes, supplier master data, and performance trackers; continuously improve automation, visualization quality, and data reliability for management reporting and audits. 
• Ensure full compliance with procurement governance including project documentation, audit readiness, supplier qualification protocols, contract controls, and change management processes.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUCCESS:

Education

• Graduate in Engineering, Bachelor’s degree or university degree, ideally in, Economics, Finance, or related.
• Masters is a plus

Experience

• 4-7 Years of experience in Supply Chain, Procurement, or Strategic Sourcing

Skills/Certifications

• Project management experience & Supply Chain certifications are a plus.
