POSITION SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The Principal BI Developer I is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the Oracle Fusion Reporting and Analytics Suite, including OTBI, BI Publisher, Fusion Data Intelligence (FDI) and Oracle Analytics Cloud. This role will architect and build data pipelines, enable data integration and extensibility frameworks, and deliver Reporting, analytics solutions to meet evolving business needs. The position also involves administration, performance tuning, and environment migration/setup, while providing training and guidance to business users.
DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
- Architect and maintain a high-performing Oracle Fusion Reporting and Analytics Suite.
- Design and implement data pipelines and integration frameworks using Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) or equivalent tools.
- Develop semantic layers, attributes, metrics, and hierarchies for reporting in Oracle Analytics Cloud.
- Build and optimize OTBI analyses, BI Publisher reports, and FDI dashboards.
- Enable extensibility in FDI through custom data ingestion, Data Augmentation and transformation.
- Perform administration tasks: environment setup, upgrades, schema subscriptions, cache management.
- Collaborate with business units to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Create technical documentation, training materials, and conduct knowledge transfer sessions.
- Monitor application health and ensure compliance with performance SLAs.
Qualifications:
Skills:
- Expertise in Oracle Fusion Reporting tools: OTBI, BI Publisher, FDI/FAIDP.
- Strong experience in data integration (ODI or similar ETL tools).
- Proficiency in dimensional modeling, data warehouse design, and SQL.
- Knowledge of Fusion extensibility frameworks and data augmentation techniques.
- Experience with security architecture, migration activities, and administration.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and communicate effectively.

Experience:
- 10+ years experience in Oracle Fusion Reporting and Analytics Suite development
- 10+ years experience in data warehouse and schema design architecture
- 4+ years experience leading implementations
- 4+ years experience running architecture and administration activities
Education:
Bachelor’s in information technology, computer science or related field
