Job Summary:
We are seeking a Principal I, Cloud Developer – Oracle with deep technical expertise in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and Oracle PaaS to lead and deliver custom application modernization initiatives. The role involves lift-and-shift, re-platforming, and rewriting of enterprise applications into Oracle PaaS using modern full-stack technologies and developing analytical and operational reports using Oracle Cloud ERP and Fusion Data Intelligence (FDI)..
The ideal candidate will provide technical leadership, hands-on development, and architectural guidance while working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud and analytics solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Cloud & Application Modernization
- Lead lift-and-shift, refactoring, and re-architecture of on-prem or legacy applications to Oracle PaaS.
- Design and implement cloud-native architectures leveraging OCI services.
- Modernize applications for performance, scalability, security, and cost optimization.
Oracle Cloud & PaaS
- Design and develop solutions using Oracle PaaS services, including:
- Oracle Autonomous Database (ATP/ADW)
- Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC)
- Oracle Visual Builder / APEX/ Oracle ADF
- OCI Compute, Networking, Load Balancing, and Storage
- Implement security best practices (IAM, encryption, network security).
ERP Reporting & Analytics
- Design and develop reports and analytics for Oracle Cloud ERP modules (PTM, Financials, OTC, HCM, etc.).
- Build and maintain:
- OTBI (Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence) reports
- BI Publisher reports
- Custom SQL-based reports
- Develop and enhance Fusion Data Intelligence (FDI) dashboards and subject areas.
- Perform data modelling and transformations using ADW for analytics and reporting.
- Ensure data accuracy, performance, and alignment with business requirements.
Full Stack Development
- Develop and maintain end-to-end applications using:
- Backend: Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Microservices
- Frontend: Angular, React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS
- Ensure clean architecture, reusable components, and API-driven design.
Technical Leadership
- Act as a technical SME for Oracle Cloud, ERP reporting and application modernization.
- Review designs, code, and cloud architectures to ensure best practices.
- Mentor junior developers and guide development teams.
DevOps & Automation
- Implement CI/CD pipelines using OCI DevOps, Jenkins, Git, or similar tools.
- Automate infrastructure using Terraform or OCI Resource Manager.
- Support containerization using Docker and Kubernetes (OKE).
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
- Work with architects, product owners, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Participate in solution design workshops and technical discussions.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Oracle Cloud & PaaS
- Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
- Proven experience with Oracle PaaS services.
- Experience in application migration to OCI.
ERP Reporting & Analytics
- Strong experience with Oracle Cloud ERP reporting.
- Hands-on expertise in OTBI, BI Publisher, and FDI.
- Solid SQL and data modelling skills.
Full Stack Development
- Strong experience in Java/J2EE, Spring, RESTful services.
- Front-end development experience with modern frameworks (Angular/React).
- Solid understanding of relational databases, especially Oracle DB.
Architecture & Modernization
- Experience designing cloud-native and microservices architectures.
- Knowledge of application modernization patterns and best practices.
DevOps & Tools
- CI/CD pipelines, Git-based version control.
- Docker, Kubernetes (OKE preferred).
Soft Skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Ability to lead technically and work independently.
Preferred Qualifications
- Oracle Cloud certifications (OCI Architect, OCI Developer, etc.).
- Experience with Oracle APEX and Visual Builder.
- Experience with Fusion Data Intelligence (FDI) implementations.
- Exposure to multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments.
- Prior experience in large-scale enterprise transformation programs.
