About the role:

As a Regional Distribution Compliance Specialist, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining a strong compliance structure across our regional Distribution Operations. You will drive awareness and accountability for key compliance areas — including Health & Safety, Security, Trade Compliance, Inventory Control, and Operational Compliance You will work closely with our logistics operations, and the departments customs, quality, regulatory affairs, and external partners (such as carriers and LSP's), to ensure compliant, efficient, and transparent product flows from warehouse to customer. Your role will be instrumental in building a “second line of defense” and ensuring Herbalife operates in line with internal policies, contractual requirements and applicable local, regional and international regulations. Via auditing, reporting, and advising on any deviations, you’ll help prevent risks to our people, customers, the environment, and operational costs. You’ll use our Control Framework to monitor performance and ensure we’re byways ready for internal or external audits — with no surprises.

In this role, you will:

• Foster a strong compliance mindset and ensure teams are equipped to make risk-aware decisions.
• Ensure distribution activities comply with applicable regulations, internal SOPs, and quality standard using the Distribution Control Framework (DCF); report deviations and coordinate follow-up actions.
• Oversee the availability, accuracy, and implementation of SOPs related to customs, health & safety, inventory, , and security — in close collaboration with subject matter experts and act as a liaison between Distribution, Quality, Customs Regulatory Affairs, and external partners.
• Coordinate and support internal and external audits, maintain audit schedules, and follow up on any findings or risks.
• Lead or coordinate incident and accident investigations and ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
• Perform regular checks on distribution data within WMS / ERP / tracking systems
• Identify compliance gaps, deviations, and improvement opportunities
• Coordinate corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) related to distribution compliance.
• Conduct annual and ad hoc risk assessments for Distribution Operations and follow up with actionable improvement plans.
• Serve as the regional point of contact for compliance areas such as Health & Safety (incl. delegated 16.2 H&S role), and act as Chair of the Arbo Committee in Venray.
• Represent together with other Regional Distribution Compliance specialists EMEA Distribution Compliance in the Global Distribution Compliance Team, contributing to global standards, improvements, and best practice sharing. If possible, initiate or coordinate Environment, Social and Governance (ESG)–related projects within Distribution Operations.

Our requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in internal logistics activities, including auditing and safeguarding processes.
• Minimum 5 years of experience working in ERP warehouse management environments.
• Fluent in English and Dutch, both written and spoken.
• Experience and understanding of supply chain processes and their impact on order processing.
• Higher education (minimum HBO level or equivalent).
• Proficient in MS Office tools, particularly Excel and Access; experience with Oracle ERP and order fulfillment systems.
• Ability to understand, document, and audit local supply chain processes.
• Compliance mindset and risk awareness
• Capable of clearly writing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and preparing training materials.
• Skilled at identifying critical situations and knowing when and how to escalate issues.
• Detail-oriented, accurate, with strong administrative and organizational skills.
• Proactive self-starter with good communication and relationship-building skills across all levels of the organization.
• Ability to influence decisions and raise awareness about compliance findings.
• Familiarity with customs and health & safety (H&S) regulations strongly desired.
• Available for  40 hours a week, where 32 hours are discussable.

Als Regional Distribution Compliance Specialist ben je verantwoordelijk voor het opzetten en onderhouden van een sterke compliance‑structuur en mindset binnen onze Distribution & Logistics operaties. Je creëert bewustzijn en stimuleert eigenaarschap op belangrijke compliance gebieden, waaronder Health and Safety, Supply Chain security, Trade Compliance, Inventory Control en Operationele Compliance.

Je werkt nauw samen met onze logistieke operaties, de afdelingen Quality, Customs, Regulatory Affairs maar ook externe partners (zoals vervoerders en logistieke dienstverleners) om te zorgen voor compliant, efficiënte en transparante productstromen van warehouse tot klant.

Jouw rol is van cruciaal belang bij het opzetten van een “second line of defense” en het waarborgen dat Herbalife opereert volgens interne richtlijnen, contractuele verplichtingen en toepasselijke lokale, regionale en internationale wet- en regelgeving. Je bent als het ware “de waakhond van onze processen maar onze medewerkers moeten dit ervaren als support”

Door audits uit te voeren, te rapporteren en te adviseren over afwijkingen help je risico’s voor onze medewerkers, klanten, het milieu en operationele kosten te voorkomen. Je maakt gebruik van ons Control Framework om prestaties te monitoren en ervoor te zorgen dat we altijd voorbereid zijn op interne en externe audits — zonder surprises.

In deze functie ben je verantwoordelijk voor:

• Het stimuleren van een sterke compliance‑mindset en het borgen dat teams risicobewuste beslissingen kunnen nemen.
• Het waarborgen dat distributie activiteiten voldoen aan toepasselijke regelgeving, interne SOP’s en kwaliteitsnormen, met behulp van het Control Framework (CCF and DCF); het rapporteren van afwijkingen en het coördineren van opvolgacties.
• Het toezien op de beschikbaarheid, juistheid en implementatie van SOP’s op het gebied van douane, H&S, voorraadbeheer, in nauwe samenwerking met SME’s. Tevens fungeer je als schakel tussen Distribution, Quality, Customs  en Regulatory Affairs en externe partners.
• Het coördineren en ondersteunen van interne en externe audits, het beheren van auditplanningen en het opvolgen van bevindingen en risico’s.
• Het leiden of coördineren van incident‑ en ongevalsonderzoeken en het borgen dat corrigerende en preventieve maatregelen worden geïnitieerd en geïmplementeerd.
• Het uitvoeren van periodieke controles op distributiedata binnen WMS‑, ERP‑ en track‑&‑trace‑systemen.
• Het signaleren van compliance hiaten, afwijkingen en verbetermogelijkheden.
• Het coördineren van corrigerende en preventieve maatregelen (CAPA) met betrekking tot distributie‑compliance.
• Het uitvoeren van jaarlijkse en ad‑hoc risicoanalyses voor distributie‑operaties en het opvolgen van concrete verbeterplannen.
• Het optreden als regionaal aanspreekpunt voor compliance gebieden zoals H&S (incl. gedelegeerde Arbo‑rol conform artikel 16.2) en het voorzitten van de Arbocommissie in Venray.
• Het samen met andere regionale Distribution Compliance specialisten vertegenwoordigen van EMEA Distribution Compliance binnen het Global Distribution Compliance Team, waarbij je bijdraagt aan wereldwijde standaarden, verbeteringen en het delen van best practices. Indien mogelijk initieer of coördineer je ESG‑gerelateerde projecten binnen distributie‑operaties.

Jouw profiel:

• Minimaal 3 jaar ervaring in interne logistieke processen, inclusief auditing en het borgen van processen.
• Minimaal 5 jaar ervaring in ERP‑gedreven warehouse‑omgevingen.
• Vloeiend in Nederlands en Engels, zowel mondeling als schriftelijk.
• Aantoonbare kennis van supply‑chain processen en hun invloed op orderverwerking.
• Afgeronde hbo‑opleiding of gelijkwaardig.
• Goede vaardigheden in MS Office, met name Excel (en Access); ervaring met Oracle ERP en order‑fulfilmentsystemen is een pre.
• In staat om lokale supply‑chain processen te begrijpen, vast te leggen en te auditen.
• Sterke compliance‑mindset en risicobewustzijn.
• Vaardig in het schrijven van duidelijke Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) en het opstellen van trainingsmateriaal.
• In staat kritieke situaties te herkennen en tijdig en effectief te escaleren.
• Nauwkeurig, detailgericht en sterk in administratieve en organisatorische taken.
• Proactieve zelfstandige teamplayer met goede communicatieve en relationele vaardigheden op alle niveaus binnen de organisatie.
• In staat om invloed uit te oefenen en bewustzijn te creëren rondom compliance bevindingen.
• Kennis van douane‑ en Arbo‑wetgeving is een sterke pré.
• Beschikbaar voor 40 uur per week (32 uur bespreekbaar).
