Finance Accountant - Southern & Central Europe (fixed-term contract)

About the team and role:
Supports the Croatian Finance department ensuring up-to-date and compliant accounting records. Assistance in tax affairs, statutory accounting and corporate regulations. . Support Commercial and Operational Departments in their business development. The role works closely with the Finance Supervisor, Subregional Finance Senior Manager, Regional finance teams and internal stakeholders.
In this role you will:
- Support in ensuring that the Finance department performs to expected Herbalife standards
- Liaise from time to time with regional finance team on country financial questions
- Support in ensuring that Croatian entity complies with Sarbanes & Oxley Act requirements.
- Manage accounting operations, including accounts receivable, account payable, and the general ledger
- Preparation of outgoing payments in line with the payment schedule
- Assist with Monthly EMEA Management Report
- Prepare and maintain monthly balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy
- Adhering of all administrative activities essential to the running of the Finance department
Our requirements:
- 2-3 years experience within an Accounting environment
- Good all round knowledge of local GAAP. Work in International company is considered an advantage
- Experienced in PC-based accounting systems such as Pantheon is ideal and must be proficient with MS excel.
- Good interpersonal skills and a team player
- Maintains strict confidentiality and manages sensitive information appropriately
- Builds strong working relationships at all levels, with awareness of cultural differences
