About the Role and team
We are looking for an Accountant – Accounts Payable to join our Finance team in Luxembourg. This role is ideal for someone with strong numerical skills, experience working in a high‑volume AP environment and the ability to work accurately under pressure. You will be responsible for processing invoices, supporting month‑end activities, and ensuring timely and accurate financial transactions. The ideal candidate will bring a proactive attitude, strong attention to detail, and a customer focused approach when working with internal teams and external suppliers. In addition, we are specifically looking for someone with a solid understanding of core accounting principles and the ability to process large volumes of documentation efficiently.
In this role you will:
Our Requirements:
1–2 years of Accounts Payable experience in a high‑volume environment.
Strong understanding of accounting foundations, including:
double‑entry bookkeeping
chart of accounts
accruals
basic tax concepts, including the meaning and accounting treatment of VAT
Ability to read, understand, and validate supplier invoices, including recognising key fields, checking accuracy, and understanding the financial impact of invoice errors.
Experience with month‑end accruals.
Highly numerate with strong attention to detail.
Ability to adapt quickly and process large volumes of paperwork accurately and consistently.
Experience using major finance systems with Oracle being a strong advantage.
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables).
Proven ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Strong team player with a collaborative mindset.
Customer‑focused approach when dealing with internal and external stakeholders.
Intermediate level of English (written and spoken).
Positive, proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
